Another wonderful creative day with lots of little animals Growing Wild Festival - Pembrokeshire. The sun shone, the music played and all was well. Fantastic to work alongside DI FORD | CREATIVE EXPERIENCES and her party puffins. Well done everybody, it was a blast.

Had the best time in Coed Sylen but now it feels like summer is over.

We lived off grid for most of August, chasing the solar, enjoying the compost loo, listening to all the birds who sang to us everyday, cooking on the fire, sharing stories, making things from our wood, prepping firewood for the winter…….. won’t be buying any this year!!
We shared our space with beautiful people: Rebecca Clark Rowan Hobbs Herb Amber Fleming Sian May Sarah Phillips (Bonell) Jon Phillips and we laughed and hugged and just were present.

Packing down now. It will be a space to still enjoy but nothing is quite as wonderful as a summer in an ancient Welsh woodland.

Last time I saw the solar eclipse in 1999 I was in the Pyrenees with my mum, my oldest brother, his family and a new baby. We went to the natural bathing pools of St Thomas les Bain and watched the sky grow dark. It was probably as warm as it is today here in west wales.
This time I’m in our woods, just me and ＬＥＥ ＪＯＨＮ ＰＨＩＬＬＩＰＳ and two dogs.
That last time seems like a very different life.
Lots has changed.

It’s always good to look back at special times and special places to appreciate them fully. The prints created this week fforest gather were special. Stories shared, lots of laughter, inky fingers and happy faces.

It’s been a very busy few weeks travelling to different places to print with new faces: onpaperfest The Big Retreat Festival Spoontown and Fforest Gather.

As well as A Level moderating and teaching.

August will be a time for us to slow down. Spend time in the woods with ＬＥＥ ＪＯＨＮ ＰＨＩＬＬＩＰＳ and doggies.

24 hours in the woods with ＬＥＥ ＪＯＨＮ ＰＨＩＬＬＩＰＳ and we now have a loo!!!!! This is massive. Also painted my dad’s bench that needed a little TLC.

It is such a good place to be. Just us, the dogs and the birds……. I’m not gonna mention the horse flies though.
