Now that Aviktas is open, all eyes turn to the River Caves and what's happening there. So far we've seen a mural painted outside and there has been some painting happening around the station area. But other than that the progress remains a mystery.

I've had this image shared this morning of a boat in the station which shows at least something has moved.

I'm curious about this one. I know there are die hard fans who don't want anything to change and some who want a fresh new River Caves. (All I want is backs on the damn seats!)

So what are you hoping for with this reimagining?

🎢 Quick Review: F.L.Y.

Nobody builds theme park immersion quite like Phantasialand , and F.L.Y. might be their greatest achievement.

Here’s my quick review of the world’s first launched flying coaster. 👇

Millenium at Fantasy Island is one of the parks large permanent coaster. Manufactured by Vekoma this coaster has a top speed of 56mph and 3 inversions. It's been opening since 1999 and I have to say it runs well for its age!

Have you ridden this coaster?

This time last year...

My US trip kicked off with the shortest (and most expensive) visit to Luna Park NYC (aka Coney Island) in New York. If you missed it at the time, check it out:

If I were put in charge of the UK’s biggest theme parks tomorrow, these rides wouldn’t survive the week… 😬🚜

In this video, I’ve picked ONE ride from each major UK theme park that I’d remove and replace. Some choices were obvious. Others might get me into trouble.

The real question is: do you agree with me… or am I completely wrong? 🤔

Which ride would YOU scrap from your favourite park?

🎢 Quick Review: Vampire

Over 35 years after opening, Vampire is still one of the most unique coasters in the UK.

Here’s my quick review of Chessington’s suspended classic. Has it stood the test of time? 👇

If you like a more gentle ride then you should check out Toucan Tours at Fantasy Island. This monorail style attraction is located within the pyramid section of the park and starts off open then has and indoor section (even though the whole ride is indoor 😂 )

There have been a lot of small improvements to Oblivion at Alton Towers this season, with the return of the "Don't Look Down" message and the pause at the top, the ride is pretty much back to it's best.

Last year I did the Oblivion hill walk and had a great time. Being able to take it all in up at the top, seeing the control panel etc. All the things a geek like me loves. And the team that were showing us around were excellent.

If you've taken part in any track walks, what was your favourite?

🎢 Quick Review: Zadra

Some people consider Zadra one of the best coasters in Europe, and after finally riding it, I can see why.

Here’s my quick review of EnergyLandia's towering RMC. Have you ridden it, and where would you rank it? 👇
