Well that's our weekend of Santa trains at the Welshpool and Llanfair Light Railway completed. We were asked to attend the steam and diesel gala earlier in the year and were delighted to be asked back for the Santa Trains.

Thanks to North Staffs and Cheshire Traction Engine Club, Elizabeth Greenwood and our fellow exhibitors for a fun and friendly weekend. Unfortunately didn't get many pics due to the damp, but everyone at Nantwich Traditional Amusements had a fab time. Bonus was meeting George Orton's granddaughter and Elaine Pritchard with her Orton and Spooned display.

Cone along to join our lovely friends at The Peacock Railway today. The sun Is out, the Cragg fairground organ is playing, fresh from its complete rebuild, the traction engine Maud is offering trailer rides and the railway are running steam and diesel trains. Every penny raised today including rides and refreshmentswill go to North West Air Ambulance Charity www.nwaa.net Come along and have some fun and support a worthy cause!

We've been testing our locos in readiness for our Sunday 6th April public running day. Rides from 12.00 noon. Only £1 for 2 laps. Gauge 1 railway will be running as well. Refreshments available.

The sun is shining, the railway is open, come and join us 11.00 until 3pm today at The Peacock Railway - Nantwich. Light refreshments available. Plus traction engine rides behind 'Maud and the largest gauge 1 in the North West!

Congratulations from us here at NTA to the latest members of South Cheshire Model Engineering Society to be passed out as diesel drivers.
Did you know that Nantwich Traditional Amusements are proud to support The Peacock Railway - Nantwich? This great little railway is situated behind the Peacock pub on Crewe Road in Willaston, their public running days are the first Sunday in the month, usually from April to October, and other days there are occasional special events as advertised. Popular with all ages, it's great for the little ones, and for the adults too. For your fare (this year, it's £1), you get two laps of the track, a great atmosphere and a friendly welcome. There's always drinks and light refreshments available too, and from the seating area you get a great view of the trains going round. The new Guage 1 model railway is superb, and we believe perhaps one of the largest in the country. You might get a chance to ride on a trailer behind a miniature traction engine at some of the open days too! We look forward to seeing you all soon.

Club members passed out for driving our diesels at public running days. Well done! Next running day Sunday 6th October.
