Alberta-based roots singer-songwriter Dave McCann is known for leading Dave McCann and the Firehearts and is a staple of the contemporary Canadian roots and Americana scene.

Dave recently performed a solo set at the Wagon Sober Festival at Big Prairie Hall in Mountain View County, Alberta. Scots Presenter Publicist Promoter (Stravaiger) Rob Ellen and the IMtv - International Moose TV Mobile we're on hand to capture this session and interview.

Dave and the Fire Hearts will be live at The Ironwood Stage Calgary in celibrations of the venues 20th Birthday along with pretty much the high heed yins of the Alberta Music Scene on September 12 (8pm) iMtv will be covering that event..

The Porch Dogs are a Calgary-based blues and roots supergroup and features the following lineup:
​Steve Gerard: Vocals, Guitars
​Mitchell Brady: Guitar, Vocals (the newest addition to the lineup)
​Bill Price: Bass, Background Vocals
​Kevin Belzner: Drums
​Mike Woodford: Percussion (timbales, congas, bongos)
​Note: The group was originally founded alongside the late Canadian blues icon Tim Williams (vocals, guitar), whose legacy they continue to honor in their live performances.

I had the privelage of catching up with some of this history and being with them at the wndrfl Ironwood Stage at this crossroads in their long and celibrated career.

At Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival 2026, Nashville singer-songwriter Mark Allen of Emmy nominated PBS Have Guitar Will Travel World TV, partnered as an official sponsor for the popular Trailer Trash Americana and Country stage.

The Aye Hobos fae Dunfermline in Fife brought their high-energy blend of country and punk—a genre they call "cunk." to the party and we're the party.
​
​Genre: "Cunk" (Country-Punk) / Scottish Folk-Punk.
​Origins: Dunfermline, Fife. Formed around 2018–2019 around frontman James "Barney" Ward.
​Debut Album: Cunk It Up (2021), funded via a successful crowdfunder and dedicated to their founding guitarist Alan "Alabama" Cormie, who passed away shortly before its release.

They rammed the place and delivered.
