Two more Nairn Trad Sessions to go before the summer break. Tomorrow (Jun 17) and Wed Jun 24th at Nairn Community & Arts Centre. 7.30pm. All welcome to play, sing or listen.. (and a nice photo of Fair Isle to cheer you up)

What a lovely session at Nairn Community & Arts Centre last night. Some great tunes and songs, and a real mix of instruments: fiddle, guitars, whistles, mandolins, slide guitar (!), bodhrans, button accordion, flutes, piano accordion, and harmonicas (disclaimer: there was a banjo too ). Always good for the soul. Same time (7.30pm) every Wednesday through May and June. All welcome..
(The picture is nothing to do with the session, but I like it. Can anyone identify the ship and its location?)

Many thanks to The Havelock for hosting another Trad session on Friday. Special thanks too to owners Gordon Holding and Morag Holding for providing a buffet for the players. Lovely food, more than we could eat, but the rest of the pub helped us out later. Looking forward to the March trad session when we will have a special guest..be there..😀🎶🎶
