Thank you Much Wenlock Primary School and Nursery for taking the last of our Ice Pops off our hands. We had over 100 left so have happily donated them for the children to enjoy in the warmer weather over their summer activities.

Well, what a night to round off our 40th birthday celebration (shush, we know it's 41 really but we didn't get to celebrate last year)...
Both Much Wenlock Male Voice Choir and Of One Accord Choir have rocked our socks off, sung their hearts out, and blown us all away!
We can't thank them enough for finishing the festival with such a stunning performance.

We have had an amazing weekend, and we can't thank the community enough for supporting us and coming to all the wonderful events we have hosted. We still have tickets available for this evenings performance by Much Wenlock Male Voice Choir ft Of One Accord Choir, pop along and buy on the door or grab some from us on the Church Green.

We also have to say a massive thank you to Wenlock Water for supplying our hospitality tent with spring and sparkling water, and The George and Dragon, Much Wenlock for hosting our pop up bar! And to Dan Thomas, Much Wenlock Mayor, for being so supportive of the Festival and joining many of the activities and events.

It's been a group effort that's for sure!

We loved having you last night, thanks so much for a brilliant party!

The Church Green will be open all day, Vendors will be trading from 12pm until 4pm on Saturday and 12pm until 5pm on Sunday. Some Vendors may open early at their discretion, but we are have to be considerate to the Church as it does have prescheduled activities on both days.

Car Parks are all accessible within a short walk of the Festival Marquee. We have also secured the Car Park at William Brookes School to remain accessible. Please note that Car Park entry closes at 5pm, but the exit will remain on automated opening, with the pedestrian gate open so cars can be retrieved later.

About the artist:

CATHERINE DOWNES (B.A.) Hons. Fine Art

Being brought up in a Shropshire farming family gave me a love of the countryside which has never left me. I always enjoyed drawing.

1950. Worked in a Drawing office, training as a Glass Designer, gaining N.D.D. in Design.

1956. Assistant Manager, James Beattie's Glass Department.

1973. Glass Engraving with own Studio.

1980. Started painting.

1997. A Level Art.

2002. В.А. HONS Fine Art degree. Wolverhampton University

I believe " one does not really 'See' until one draws from life". I have filled many sketchbooks on my travels; from these I have published a selection in my book.

"Catherine Downes, The Sketches"

In my paintings I aim for texture and character based on good drawing and composition.
