The ultimate summer day out at Burntisland Summer Fairground 23rd May - 16th August 2026
Scotland’s largest travelling summer funfair, the links brings over 120 rides and attractions, a lineup from towering thrill rides and favorites like the Giant Wheel, Waltzer, Superbob, Dodgems, Skydiver, Freak Out Afterburner, Twist, Altitude Star flyer, Drop Tower, Matterhorn, AirMax Afterburner, Speed Buzz, Miami, Air Raid Extreme, Rollercoasters, and the Jumping Frog. Family Fun: Ghost trains, Train Ride, Helter Skelter, Trampolines, funhouse, and a variety of inflatable attractions. Traditional Fairground Stalls Prize bingo, hook-a-duck, and various amusement arcades. Parking faculties are next to the fairground and down by the beach There are two play parks on the links the town has great shops and restaurants, including many takeaway food facilities in the town so an abundance of choice located on the high Street.
Highland Games Day – Monday 20th of July 2026
The second oldest Highland Games in the world, established in 1652, held on the third Monday in July.
The games arena is located a short walk from Burntisland railway station, on the line between Edinburgh and Kirkcaldy. A bus service also runs from Dunfermline to Leven (via Kirkcaldy) and stops close to the games arena.
On this day, you also have all the market stalls at the bottom and top end of the links the busiest day of the year in Burntisland.
