September 2022 marked 50 years of twinning between Mossley in the UK and Hem in France.

To celebrate Mossley Town Council worked with local artists & creatives to create 'Jubilee Jumelage', an artistic celebration project.

As part of the project, Born and Bred Dance Theatre asked residents in Mossley and Hem to dance in their favourite place...

Thank you to Mossley Writers for a fantastic creative writing workshop this evening! There was some beautiful writing & connections made.

Mossley Writers meet every third Tuesday of the month at The Vale from 7:30pm - 9:30pm and are always open to new recruits regardless of writing experience!

Black Rock March was written by Sam Sykes, who is the father of Robert (Bob) Sykes. Robert was the Band Master at St. Johns and is still the principal Euphonium. Black Rock was written in 1965 by Sam Sykes for his wife. We thought this fantastic piece of music, inspired by Mossley, composed by a Mossley resident and played by a Mossley band, would be a great way to share some of our musical heritage with our friends in Hem as part of the Jubilee Jumelage project.
