Join us on Monday August 31st at 6pm as Steven presents 'Something to Shout About' An insight into his role as our Crier and an informative talk about both the ancient and modern roles of the Town Crier

At ArtsBloc, we love creating workshops that are a little different. We encourage children to be adventurous, experiment with exciting materials, and discover just how creative they can be. The results speak for themselves!

This summer Morley CIC Live & ArtsBloc are teaming up to bring you a FREE, all ages community event in the heart of our town!
With something for everyone, we're throwing our all into this event, so that next year we can involve more local businesses and turn it back into the whole town event our Arts Festival used to be 🥳

Another fantastic series of adult art workshops has come to an end! 🎨✨

Over the past few weeks we've explored a wide range of techniques and skills, with everyone having the chance to experiment, learn and grow in confidence. It's been wonderful to see everyone's creativity develop, whatever their starting point.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us this term – you've made each workshop such a welcoming, supportive and fun place to be. ❤️

We are taking a break over the summer, but our adult workshops will be back in September. If you've been thinking about giving art a go, we'd love you to join us! No skills or previous experience are needed – just come along with an open mind and enjoy learning in a relaxed, friendly environment.

We can't wait to welcome both familiar and new faces in September. Follow our page for dates and booking information. 👨‍🎨

At Artsbloc Morley, we wanted to pay tribute to the late, great David Hockney with a very special collaborative artwork created by our talented young artists.

Inspired by Hockney’s iconic style, the children worked across multiple square tiles in oil pastel, which were then collaged together to create a striking portrait of Hockney standing in front of one of his own artworks.

Across two one-hour workshops, the children worked like Trojans to complete the piece in time – and the results are simply incredible.

As an art studio based in Morley, just a stone’s throw from Hockney’s Yorkshire roots, it was important for our students to learn about his immense contribution to art history and the lasting impact he has had on generations of artists.

We’re so proud of what these kids achieved together. A fitting tribute to a true Yorkshire legend.

RIP David Hockney. 🎨💙
