Kathryn is playing Shelly a young fish factory worker dreaming of more from life. This is Kathryn’s debut performance after being off the stage for 7 years. Shelly is a feisty character who just wants fame and fortune. Watch and see if she finally achieves her biggest dream.

Brenda Reid plays Jan, a single mum who has dedicated her life to her daughter. This is my first production with Monifieth although definitely not my first venture on the stage. Ann Sutherland plays Pearl, who is leaving the fish factory but definitely NOT retiring!
'This is the second time I have been lucky enough to play Pearl, with the last time being 7 years ago. She left such an impression that I'm thrilled to go to Ladies' Day with the girls again. This production is all about friendship, both on and off stage, and has a great mixture of funny and touching moments.'

Next up is Kiarra Fenemore

Hi! My names Kiarra I have been with monifieth theatre for 4 years and have survived 8 shows! MAD has me pretty busy at just now, being in the youth show the haunted cabin, helping direct the younger youth show above and beyond as well as playing Linda in Ladies Day!

Linda is close to my own age except instead of working with chicken she works with fish! She is a bit ditzy and always looks out for her friends. I have loved every part of being Linda! she reminds me of myself so i think it’s been a breeze😉 Come and enjoy some laughter with us! Get your tickets for ladies day

Steven Armstrong plays Jim McCormick and Barry the bookie, Steven has been involved in MAD for 14 years and as usual brings a large presence to the stage here’s what he had to say about the characters:

“Imagine the worst, creepiest, slimiest tv personality and times it by 10 and you have Jim, I’ll give him this though he knows way more about horse racing than I do! As for Barry well he’s not the bookie character you would expect to meet in a show set mostly at a race course”

Next up is Ivy Sutherland

They are playing Patrick the jockey, a starving athlete who's found the business isn't all he dreamed.
Ivy has been with MAD for 10 years, and always enjoys a challenge:
"Acting as an Irish man is a fresh breath of air, shaking up the usual variety of English accents I'm use to. Still, the part brings challenges I'm not used to, only being in the saddle a few times. But hay, if I haven't been reined in with a horse voice at the end of the night, was I even trying? So hoof it down to the theatre to see Ladies' Day"
