Minehead Eye

Minehead Eye Minehead EYE is a Skate Park, Youth Centre, Indoor Climbing Venue, Cafe and much much more! Funding was applied for in 2006 from the BIG lottery fund.

Minehead EYE started out as an idea for a skatepark as the local skaters started to bring attention to the fact that there were no parks anywhere near the area. Capital was granted for a multi purpose indoor skatepark and youth centre which was finally built and opened in August 2010 after many years of volunteer time and effort by everyone involved. Since day one the centre has earned all it’s o

wn revenue, income being generated from the skatepark, bouldering cave and cafe, allowing the EYE to put all profits back into the centre. We strive to create access for all, so if you know someone who may have a problem accessing the EYE , get them in touch with us and we’ll see what we can do. We are now in our fourth year and things are moving along swimmingly. As well as the indoor park we have added the bouldering cave to our facilities, and our recording studio, cafe, various events and courses continue to thrive, as well as the EYE now running all the youth clubs in West Somerset . The EYE is firmly not-for-profit , supported by hundreds of hours of volunteer time and the hard work of it’s staff and many others who fly the flag.
