Starring Ian McKellen and Michaela Coel in a brilliant double act, The Christophers is about an elderly and eccentric artist Julian Sklar – in a pitch-perfect performance by McKellen – whose children hire young artist Lori Butler, played by Coel, to pose as his assistant and complete a series of Sklar’s unfinished paintings so that they can make a fortune selling them after his death.

Directed by Steven Soderbergh and written by Ed Solomon, the film is a thoroughly entertaining and richly detailed study of character and the creative process. James Corden and Jessica Gunning also star as Sklar’s unscrupulous children.

The Alter Eagles are delighted to return to the Regal with their celebration of one of the best loved bands of all time. Now in their 23rd Anniversary Year, the band have established themselves as one of the country’s top tribute acts, headlining at theatres all over the country. Playing a mix of old and new Eagles’ songs – all the classics, including Hotel California, Take It Easy, One Of These Nights, Take It To The Limit, Desperado, Lyin’ Eyes and Life In The Fast Lane – as well as Henley, Frey and Walsh solo numbers (like Boys of Summer, The Heat Is On and Rocky Mountain Way) along with some deep cuts, the band wow audiences with their faithful tribute to one of the most popular bands ever.

The band members are Steve McCormack (vocals, guitars), Alan Tomkins (keyboards, guitars, vocals), Rob Beattie (bass, acoustic guitar, vocals), Mike Bradley (guitars, vocals) and Ed Chisholm (drums and vocals). Find out more by visiting the band’s website www.altereagles.co.uk.

On stage, off stage, back stage, hiding behind the stage waving a huge flag after getting performers in to costume, selling tickets, fundraising at the coffee mornings, dealing with the finances, booking the shows... thank you. We could not keep our theatre going with out you.

Where would be without our incredible and hugely talented Volunteers? We'd be closed and there would be no The Regal Theatre, Minehead

A massive THANK YOU to everyone who helps whether you're on stage, off stage, building amazing things in the garage, serving on the bar, welcoming customers, answering the phones, working the box office, making sure the performers can be seen and heard, booking and marketing shows, chaperoning our young performers or any of the other 100s of jobs I have forgotten, THANK YOU. Without you there would genuinely be no Regal.
