We offer affordable long and short term studio space for artists and creative practitioners, as well as exhibition spaces, workshops for adults and children, meeting rooms and more. We open our doors for Open Studio events through th

e year allowing anyone to come and see what we do. We deliver a programme of events throughout the year, comprising of exhibitions, workshops, and events, all of which are open to the public. Step inside the historic Westbury Arts Centre and spend five transformative days shaping, sculpting and discovering what clay can become in your hands. This Ceramic intensive offers a rare chance to work closely with artist‑tutor Andrew Macdermott, whose intuitive, nature‑inspired approach invites you to slow down, experiment and create with intention.

Across five consecutive sessions, you’ll explore:
- Stoneware sculpting techniques from forming to refining
- Hands‑on demonstrations and tailored guidance from Andrew
- Creative experimentation as your pieces evolve day by day
- Specialist tools and high‑quality materials provided throughout

Whether you’re drawn to intimate small‑scale pieces or bold sculptural forms, this immersive structure lets you return to your work as the clay changes, encouraging a deeper, more intuitive relationship with the material.

Across the course you’ll explore:

FINAL SPACES!

Discover the possibilities of mixed media in this one‑day workshop led by artist Jay Nolan‑Latchford. Designed for beginners as well as those with some creative experience, the session offers a clear, structured introduction to working with a range of materials.

Throughout the day, you’ll explore how to build depth and interest using watercolour, gouache, inks, pens, and metallic powders. Jay will guide you through each stage, from initial layers to final details, helping you understand how these mediums interact and how to use them with confidence.

You’ll create a spring‑inspired artwork featuring bright, semi‑abstract florals and beautifully contrasted blackbird, focusing on colour, composition, and thoughtful mark‑making.

This workshop provides a relaxed, supportive environment to learn new techniques, develop your skills, and enjoy a focused day of creativity.
