I’ve watched her grow, change, fall in love with dance more and more, find herself as a performer and work relentlessly for the things she wants. And now, standing back and looking at the beautiful dancer and young woman she has become, I honestly couldn’t be prouder.
Tia doesn’t just do dance. She eats, sleeps and breathes it. It’s where she’s happiest, where she feels at home and where she has poured so much of herself over the years.
People see the performances, the trophies and the results, but I see everything behind them. The endless hours in the studio. The corrections taken over and over again. The frustration when something hasn’t gone right. The tired days where she’s still turned up. The little girl who wouldn’t open her mouth to even sing one line of a song but then learnt how to push herself out of her comfort zone and now doesn’t stop singing. The monster munch hands that have finally relaxed 😅 The determination to keep pushing until she gets where she wants to be. That is the part I’m proudest of.
I just wish you could see yourself in my eyes!
With college starting in September, a whole new chapter is about to begin and I am SO excited to see what this next year has in store for you. You have worked so hard to get here — now go and make the absolute most of it! Always here right beside you my girl.
