Contemporary Community Choirs

What an unbelievable night!!! 🥹❤️

Last night we celebrated the choirs turning 5 YEARS OLD! 🎉

The dance floor was packed, Pink Pony Club was being blasted out, and we even ended up doing the conga! 😂💃

I genuinely couldn’t have wished for a better night of fun, friendship and celebration with the most gorgeous choir family.

A big thank you to my former student Luke Pemberton who wowed everyone on the keys, my student Benlewis.music for an amazing acoustic set and of corse Ayton Beats Mobile Disco Services Services who filled the dance floor from the moment he started!

Hears to the next 5🎉

Did you catch the choir on the telly on Monday? 🥹📺

I didn’t win Fundraiser of the Year, but I still genuinely can’t believe I was even placed in the same category as the other incredible finalists and their stories.

More than anything, I’m just so overwhelmed and grateful that the collective work of our choir community has been recognised and celebrated in this way. What started as a little idea five years ago has become something I could never have imagined, and that is entirely down to the amazing people who have been part of it. ❤️

To have what we’ve achieved together noticed by ITV and Pride of Britain is something I’ll never, ever take for granted.

Still feels a little surreal! 🥹❤️

Well… the secret’s out! 🥹❤️

I’m honestly so overwhelmed and honoured to be able to say that I’m one of the finalists for ITV’s Fundraiser of the Year Award!

Thank you so, so much to everyone who nominated me. I still can’t quite believe it! 🥹

I’ve definitely had a serious case of imposter syndrome throughout all of this, because everything we’ve achieved has only been possible because of the incredible community of people around me. I just started something I loved, and somehow it’s grown into something far bigger and more special than I ever imagined.

To even be recognised for the fundraising we’ve done over the last five years means more than I can put into words. ❤️

Whatever happens next, I already feel incredibly lucky and very, very grateful.

Thank you ❤️
