🐾 **WORK EXPERIENCE & VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES AT MESSINGHAM ZOO!** 🐾

Are you **17 or over** and interested in gaining hands-on experience working with animals for your college work experience? 🦉🐒🦘

**Messingham Zoo** is looking for enthusiastic students and volunteers who would like to gain valuable **work experience hours** and learn what it’s really like to work in a small zoo.

🌿 **What does the placement involve?**

You’ll have the opportunity to get involved with a variety of day-to-day tasks, which may include:

🐾 Helping with animal care and husbandry
🥕 Food preparation and feeding routines
🧹 Cleaning and maintaining animal enclosures
🌱 General upkeep of the zoo and surrounding areas
👩‍🏫 Supporting animal education and visitor activities
🦥 Learning about animal welfare, husbandry and conservation
🤝 Working alongside our experienced team and volunteers

📅 Placement Details

**Age:** 17+
**Frequency:** 1 day per week
**Day:** The same agreed day each week
**Hours:** 8:30am – 4:00pm
**Position:** Unpaid work experience / volunteering

This is a great opportunity for anyone considering a future career in **animal care, zoology, conservation, veterinary work or the wider animal industry**, as well as students who simply have a passion for animals and need to complete work experience hours.

**Previous experience isn't essential — a willingness to learn is!**

We only have a small amount of places available so please contact us asap.

We will be holding 2 induction sessions ,7th and 12th of September 10.30 to 1pm, where you will get to meet the team and see what the role will involve.
