The doors are officially open at Art at the Winery 🍷🎨

Come and find us at Mereworth Wines — just look out for the yellow bicycle at the entrance (beautifully upcycled by Kevin 🚲💛) and step inside the barn to discover a space filled with art, colour and creativity.

Sally is a Kent-based artist whose work radiates colour, movement and emotion.

Painting intuitively in acrylics, Sally creates expressive pieces inspired by nature — not to capture exactly what is seen, but to evoke what is felt. Through layered texture, intuitive marks and bold colours, her paintings explore flowers, landscapes and seascapes, all infused with a sense of energy and atmosphere.

Her work is about immersion. Each painting aims to stir something in the viewer—a lift in mood, a connection to nature, or a gentle spark of something beyond the everyday.

✨ Meet the Artist: Jane Bridger (Ceramicist)

How wonderful it is to welcome back returning artist Jane Bridger to Art at the Winery 2026.

A member of the Society of Women Artists and Kent Potters, Jane brings over 30 years of experience as a ceramics tutor. Her beautifully crafted pieces are mostly wheel-thrown, with classical forms inspired by ancient Persian ceramics and the natural world around us.

Jane loves to experiment with glazes and decorative techniques, creating vibrant, colourful stoneware that is as practical as it is striking — you’ll be pleased to know that all pieces are oven and dishwasher safe.

Discover Jane’s work up close alongside our collection of paintings, ceramics and jewellery at this year’s Art in June exhibition at Mereworth Wines, running from 5–21 June.

Returning to Art at the Winery this June, Kevin Bassett brings a vibrant collection of bold acrylic paintings inspired by the world around him.

Balancing life as both an artist and a gardener, Kevin draws deeply from nature, people, and everyday moments — transforming them into expressive compositions filled with colour, warmth, and joy.

Influenced by masters like Monet and Van Gogh, his work invites you to pause, feel, and see the world through a more colourful lens.

Returning to Art at the Winery this year is the wonderfully dynamic Hazel Christine ✨

An abstract artist based in Rochester, Kent, Hazel brings both instinct and refinement to her practice. Her rich creative journey spans hairdressing, floristry, flower preservation, and decorative finishes & murals—each discipline feeding into the layered, expressive quality of her work.

Her paintings are instantly recognisable for their intriguing angles and “disappearing lines,” creating a sense of movement that draws you in and invites a closer look. There’s a quiet energy in her work—pieces that reveal more the longer you spend with them.

Hazel’s work has been exhibited across Kent and London, including at Mereworth Winery, Medway Open Studios, Artists in June, UTR Bluewater, the Barge House at Oxo Tower, and Folkestone Gallery.

We’re delighted to welcome her back—make sure you take time to experience her work in person 🍷🎨

Local artist Dione McKenna returns to Art at the Winery with her richly textured paintings inspired by the Kent countryside and native wildlife.

Working in oils with both brush and palette knife, Dione builds layers of colour and texture that bring a real sense of movement and life to her work - capturing those fleeting moments you recognise from walks in the landscape around us.

Her paintings have been exhibited across Kent and Sussex, and she is a selected supplier to the National Trust, as well as a member of the Association of Animal Artists.

If you’re drawn to artwork that reflects the beauty of the natural world - and want something that feels both timeless and full of energy - Dione’s work is well worth seeing in person.

We’re back! Art at the Winery returns this June 🍃

We’re so pleased to be back at Mereworth Wines for Art in June (5–21 June), bringing together seven artists in a beautiful vineyard setting in the heart of the Kent countryside.

Expect an expressive mix of paintings, ceramics and jewellery, all thoughtfully displayed alongside the relaxed atmosphere of the winery. Whether you come for the art, the wine, or simply time out, it’s a chance to slow down and enjoy something a little different.

Over the coming weeks, we’ll be introducing the artists, sharing glimpses behind the scenes, and giving you a feel for what’s to come.
