Join us for a fantastic day of family fun at the Turners Dance Academy Fundraiser!

✨ A Summer Programme Designed Especially for Teenagers ✨

Finding meaningful activities for teenagers during the summer holidays can be a challenge. That’s why at TDA, we’ve created a unique Summer School that combines practical life skills, creativity, confidence-building, and fun in a welcoming and supportive environment.

Every Tuesday throughout the summer, teenagers can take part in a variety of engaging workshops designed to help them develop valuable skills for the future while making new friends and enjoying their holiday.

Our workshops include:

• CV Building & Interview Skills
• TikTok Content Creation & Editing
• Hair & Make-Up Tutorials
• Nail Art & Beauty Workshops
• Confidence & Personal Development
• Team Challenges & Social Activities

Whether your teenager is preparing for their next educational step, entering the world of work, or simply looking for something enjoyable and productive to do this summer, our programme offers the perfect balance of learning and fun.

⚽️🤝🖤 FOOTBALL MEETS DANCE 🖤🤝⚽️

Asfordby Amateurs Ladies, Girls & Inclusive FC

Yesterday we welcomed the Asfordby Girls U11s & U13s to Turners Dance Academy for a session packed with fitness, conditioning and a little bit of dance technique… although some of those dance moves may need a little tweak or two 🤣👏

It was amazing to see the girls stepping out of their comfort zones, working hard and giving everything a go. We absolutely loved bringing two worlds together and cannot wait to see this partnership continue to blossom 🌟

People often think football and dance are completely different, but actually both athletes need many of the same skills:

✨ Flexibility
Dancers and footballers both need flexibility to improve movement, prevent injuries and allow the body to perform at its best. Whether it’s a high kick or stretching for a tackle, flexibility is key!

💪 Strength
Strength helps both dancers and footballers with power, control, balance and endurance. Strong muscles support explosive movement, stability and overall performance.

🔥 Skill & Technique
Both sports require discipline, coordination, timing and technical ability. From footwork patterns to precision and teamwork, dancers and footballers have more in common than people realise!

Whether it’s playing football ⚽, going for a run 🏃‍♂️, dancing 💃, or hitting the gym 🏋️, sports help reduce stress, boost your mood, and keep your brain active in a different way. Balancing revision with activities you enjoy can improve focus, motivation, and overall wellbeing 🌟.

So proud of our TDA Collective tonight at the Asfordby Football Club Awards Evening 💫

The girls danced beautifully and represented us so well. We were even greeted by the Mayor, who said she’d seen us before and was really impressed, such a lovely moment!

Well done girls 👏 and a big thank you to all our chaperones and helpers 💖
