How is everyone after the storm last night?

My evening was so extraordinary that it would sound made up but Today has bought a sense of calm and peace.

I’m busy working this morning before the heat kicks in fully. The next few days will be odd hours to avoid being in the office at midday (it has got up to 40 degrees in there before!).

This afternoon I’m off to donate blood so I’m currently drinking as many bottles of water as I can this morning.

The beautiful roses were in the garden of Wells Cottage on the Badminton Estate. I got to visit the other week as part of the Dorothy House event.

Stay safe today in the heat.

My dad never got to see me start my business but he is still a very big part of it. I used some of my inheritance money to start the business 9 years ago and I hope that he is proud of what I did with it even if he would be mad about all the boxes, toy stuffing and chaos that it also brings to the house! ☺️

Also I think he’s channelling my Instagram today because Dire Straits came up as a recommended song choice for this post and my dad liked Dire Straits so it had to be added.

This week is volunteer week. As I’ve mentioned before I am a volunteer with as a compassionate companion based at the RUH working with the palliative care team. It’s a role I feel incredibly proud, honoured and privileged to do.

Dorothy House are running volunteer open day today at the Winsley Site so you can find out more about volunteering with them and all the different roles available.

There will also be videos on the RUH social media pages about the different volunteer roles available. Watch out and you might spot me in one of them 😊

One space left on our brilliant Betsy Bear Workshop at the this Saturday. It’s £55 and runs from 9-4.30pm. We will provide the fabric and the pattern and you get to create your very own bear from the beautiful pattern by .patterns

Happy Monday from me and adventure bear who was enjoying the sunshine yesterday in the garden.

Not so much today as it’s very grey and wet.

Adventure bear stands at 15cm tall and is the perfect size to fit in a pocket or bag so you can take your memories with you where ever you go. I’ll be adding him to the website and Etsy shop shortly but you can message me for details. Prices start at £35.
