🕊 A new project! 🕊
I've been working on this commission for a little while for a lovely lady who works closely with a charity supporting Palestinian youths via education. Obviously the situation over there is very close to her heart, and I was keen to add my support. I don't often talk about the things happening in the world on here; better voices have already done it, and I just make shiny things, but like many I am horrified at the continued genocide happening right in front of us.
This brooch is a beast. Made as a statement; it features the Palestinian Sunbird and sprigs of Olive 🫒. Both of these being symbols of palastinian heritage, resilience, and peace. Each leaf and olive is entirely unique to each other; I made them all on the fly, and I will continue to do so for future pieces. (And there WILL be more pieces!)
This one of a kind item was an absolute joy to make, and I hope you all like it!

😅 This commission has me sweating! 😅 Not just because it's a big un, and an important cause... but because I just spent an age slowly drawing down a big button of scrap silver to make the size sheet I need for these birds! PHEW! 🥵 Worth it for the recycling aspect, but hard work so early of a morning! 🤣

🩵 Blue 🩵
Happy new year! Once again, I am emerging from my winter hibernation to bring you shiny things and rambling posts! 🤣 (A wee bit late perhaps but in my defence I have been sick as a dog all December, so social media fell by the wayside as it often does.)
🩵 I want to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone who responded to my last post! I've had a huge amount of encouraging, helpful and sympathetic thoughts come my way and I couldn't be more grateful. 🙏 I haven't had the energy to respond to everyone but please know I saw all your messages and I'm so thankful! I'm going to try and cobble together a proper follow up post soon; but basically, my prices are going to be increasing very soon. I've honestly put it off as long as I can, but that time has come. If you want to grab something at the original price, I'd do it now. (Link to my website in my bio!)
🩵 These earrings were commissioned to match the lovely blue Labradorite necklace I sold late last year. I kept them relatively simple, with blue lace Agate and Labradorite beads and a pair of crescent moons to match the original necklace. I was pleased with how they turned out, and best of all, My customer loves them!
🩵 I'll quit rambling for now and go back to making some new things... I can't wait to show you what's on the bench!!

💙 Blue 💙
I was SO pleased to finally wave off this lush necklace last week. 😍 When I make one of a kind pieces, I know I'm in for a bit of a wait before they find their homes. They aren't made for spontaneous purchases (although that does happen every now and then!) So I know that when they do sell, it's because the customer really really loves that piece and has made room for it in their budget. ♥️ This customer commissioned a small pair of earrings to match too! I'll give you a peek at those soon 😍👌

I'm a few days late with this (I was recovering and then right back into being busy!) But THANK YOUUUUUU so much to everyone at and everyone who visited for a fantastic weekend once again! It was so nice to see everyone and chat, and I was especially pleased to wave this fella off to his new home! ❤️ I always hope for a warm welcome from Melbourne, and you never ever disappoint. Thank you, thank you, thank you!! ❤️

🎉 Melbourne Day 2! 🎉
We had a fantastic day yesterday, despite the rain. Its much brighter/dryer today, so here's hoping its even better! Still plenty of shiny things looking for their new homes. The usual suspects are getting a lot of attention again... here's hoping their right person comes along today! 🤞

⚒️ Workshop Revamp! ⚒️
I think I remember saying that the workshop repair/revamp was only going to take us a week... haha!! In actuality, it's been closer to a solid month. 😅
We've repaired the ceiling where it was damaged from previous leaks and the leak we had last year. We've replaced the lights, filled and painted the walls, painted the floor, taken down the cabinet shelves on the wall, taken out the old unit that was here when we moved in, and built a whole new bench from the remains. Phew! 🥵 Plus a whole bunch of other little bits and bobs... Its been quite a busy time!
There's more to do; I want to replace the benchtops, move the press, and we have plans to replace the big up and over door with a side hinged pair - which will make it more accessible, give me a smidge more working space, but also make it feel less like a garage, hopefully 😅
It's been a challenge doing all this and working at the same time, lemme tell ya! 🤣
Anyway, that's been my summer so far! How's yours?
