I’m sure they’ll be many classic cars and vintage motorcycles out and about this May bank holiday.

With that in mind, we are delighted to highlight this vintage car racing painting that’s arrived at our gallery.

This atmospheric scene by Graham Turner depicts one of the most distinguished racing drivers of the 20th Century.

The legendary Argentine racing driver Juan Manuel Fangio racing an Alfa Romeo 158 in the 1950 Monaco Grand Prix. Fangio dominated the race from pole position, leading all 100 laps and securing his first Formula 1 win.

Artist, Philip Gerrard has created another exquisite piece! Titled ‘Timeless Elegance’ depicts and is centred around a finely painted oriental ginger jar. A very traditional theme, however, Philip’s use of light and more contemporary colours delivers a fine painting for a modern audience.
