Papercut cards featuring some of the most iconic lines in literature are coming. Starting with A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens. "Marley was dead to begin with." What a line. Then it's George Orwell's 1984. Ill be adding these and others to my booth in Bakewell as well as my online shop www.novelprint.club

What lines would you like to see? Ill do my own thing regardless, but I am vaguely interested in your thoughts. Sometimes

Two pages. Two very different moments in Jane Eyre. Page 16 takes us back to the red-room with its confinement, fear, and humiliation. Page 253 contains one of the novel's most iconic lines:
“I am no bird; and no net ensnares me…”

I've cut both pages in half and brought them together. But this isn't Edition XII. This is where Edition XII begins. The next part involves a scalpel.

The finished artwork remains unseen until the edition closes.

Edition XII of The Novel Print Archive is Jane Eyre.
One new signed and numbered A5 archival print each month, created from an original papercut cut from the pages of a novel.

£12/month. Cancel anytime.

What do I sell in this space? My Bakewell booth has a real mix, but I fear it's not the place for expensive framed originals. Im thinking that it may have to be a space for prints, cards and postcards. What do you think?

Literature, cut from the page.

My literary greetings cards take the same starting point as my original papercuts: books, language and the printed page.

Each design begins with a novel — with imagery created from letters and fragments of the page itself, then turned into a card for fellow readers, book lovers and people who appreciate something a little less ordinary.

£3 each or any 4 for £10.

Designed and printed in Derbyshire.
Human made. No generative AI.

Only five of these are leaving the studio.

Smaug and the Lonely Mountain

Based on my original hand-cut work, each Studio Edition is precision-cut from original book pages and finished by hand. The text varies from piece to piece, so no two are precisely the same.

The Tripods are coming...and so is Christmas. Here is the work in progress for one of my two 2026 Christmas cards taken from the opening page of HG Wells' War of the Worlds. You can see highlighted letters I'm going to cut out together with the word TRIPOD. It's 50% translucent so that I can see what letters I'm missing out.

Follow me to find out when this and my other War of the Worlds literature card will be available.

It's going to be a black Christmas. ULLA! (hint)
