Well Maryport… you've only gone and done it again! ❤️🎉
Where do we even begin?
We knew 2025 was going to take some beating, but somehow you all raised the bar once again. Seeing the streets packed with smiling faces, families, visitors and supporters made for what we truly believe was another magical Maryport Carnival.
Days like Saturday remind us exactly why this event matters. They give us the chance to showcase everything that's great about our town, its community spirit, its creativity, its pride and the incredible people who call Maryport home. Every single one of you played a part in making the town shine, and you should all be incredibly proud.
To every one of our 2026 carnival entries… thank you. You absolutely went the extra mile. The costumes, the floats, the dancing, the music, the imagination and, most importantly, the smiles and laughter you brought to the streets were simply outstanding. You are what makes our carnival so special.
A huge thank you also goes to everyone who dropped a donation into our collection buckets. Every penny makes a real difference and helps us start planning early, secure attractions and continue building an even bigger and better Maryport Carnival for 2027.
Finally, we'd like to thank all of our sponsors, suppliers, traders, emergency services & above all, our amazing volunteers and committee members. The carnival simply would not happen without you. Countless hours of planning take place long before the first float leaves Fleming Square, and this year has presented more challenges than ever in meeting all of the statutory requirements needed to deliver a safe, successful event. While much of that work goes unseen, it is all done for one reason, to simply keep this fantastic tradition alive for you all for years to come
