2 years ago today, we cancelled our 2020 tour.
We would not be here now, without the support of our audiences, friends, champions and board.
Today, we have a show in rehearsals in Marsden and Marianne is directing 3rd year students down at Chichester University in a new version of 'Atalanta Forever'.

We are really excited to be working with Chichester University on this cracking play.
ATALANTA FOREVER!
We are thrilled to be announcing a collaboration with award-winning theatre-writer AMANDA WHITTINGTON and MIKRON THEATRE COMPANY to produce the first full-scale musical version of ATALANTA FOREVER subtitled 'the fight for women's football' on the centenary to the day that the FA restricted women from playing on all its grounds!
But don't worry, we love the FA now! Our cast and choreographer have been working with an FA coach so that they can accurately physicalise the movement of those 1920’s icons of women’s football!
We are hugely proud that University of Chichester Conservatoire's Triple Threat Musical Theatre Commission Company have been invited to take it to the next level as a full-scale musical! ATALANTA FOREVER was originally written for four actors and featured on BBC Radio 4’s 'Front Row'.

Just wanted to say many congratulations on reaching 50 years of touring. I will also be celebrating a bit of a milestone myself regarding Mikron as this year is my 30th following Mikron so thank you so much for all the fantastic entertainment - I have enjoyed every single second!. I, along with a group of friends, will be doing a Derbyshire Double Header on June 4th when we see you at The Clock Warehouse in Shardlow & then 6 hours later at Chester Green in Derby. I can't wait! Just hope the weather is okay!! My very best wishes to all at Marsden Mechanics & to the this years crew, especially Hannah on her professional debut-Break a leg as they say!

Mikron Theatre Company will celebrate their 50th anniversary of touring Mikron with a revival of their hugely successful 2015 touring production of Maeve Larkin’s (Best Foot Forward, Mikron Theatre) play about the Women’s Institute - Raising Agents.
Raising Agents tells the story of Bunnington WI. A bit down-at-heel, with memberships dwindling, it means they can barely afford the hall, let alone a decent speaker. So, when a PR guru becomes a member, the women are glad of new blood.
Initially, the milk of WI kindness begins to sour when she re-brands them as the Bunnington Bunnies. They are hopping.
With stakes higher than a five-tiered cake stand, a battle ensues for the very soul of Bunnington, perhaps the WI itself!
On the threshold of one century into the next, this tale of hobbyists and lobbyists asks how much we should know our past or how much we should let go of it.
Featuring music written by Mikron’s acclaimed Marsden neighbours, the acclaimed folk duo O’Hooley and Tidow (Gentleman Jack, BBC), the anniversary tour, which will also see the premiere of a new play, will start at Marsden Mechanics Hall on the 8 April and will then tour around the UK by road and river until late October
Raising Agents tours till late October and will tour with the new play Red Sky At Night.
