Katy Kartwheel is an English actress and circus performer who began her performance career in gymnastics before earning a scholarship at age 17 to train with Zippo’s Circus, touring the big top with tightwire and aerial hexagon acts.

She is best known to Star Wars fans as the body and stunt creature performer for Rio Durant in Solo: A Star Wars Story, working alongside the film’s lead cast including Woody Harrelson, and was an integral part of the Star Wars creatures department under BAFTA award winner Neal Scanlan, having previously secured roles in Star Wars: Episode VII and Star Wars: Episode VIII, where she also portrayed the droid HURID-327.

Alongside her screen work, Katy continues to perform professionally, with recent contracts including Circus of Dreams and Tequila Circus performing aerial rope and hula hoops. Her other credits include appearances at Glastonbury Festival, Wilderness Festival, Britain’s Got Talent, and BBC Children in Need. She also founded Katy Kartwheel’s Circus Passion, offering circus parties, workshops, performances and a circus school in Marlow, Buckinghamshire.

In 2022, Katy gained a BSc in Psychology with First Class Honours from Oxford Brookes University and went on to qualify in using circus as an educational and therapeutic tool, delivering structured sessions to children, youth and adults with moderate to severe physical and mental health challenges.

Katy will be appearing throughout the day for autographs, photos and fan meet & greets.
