Marine Studios has sea views, but if you look a little closer to the building you'll see Marine Gardens - a small green space with iron railings, perfect for picnics without the sand in your sandwiches!

There have been some new additions to the Gardens recently, which we thought you'd like to see.
🌳
A pyrus calleryana, also known as Callery pear, an ornamental pear tree, which is sprouting new leaves and looking very happy in it's new space.
🐝
The big useful metal bins have had a wonderful facelift, thanks to an international artist, who is also, luckily for us, local to Margate.
🐝
And to make it more wildlife and bee friendly there are bee hotels, also known as solitary bee houses, we like the hotel nomenclature, as it fits with the Margate holiday town ethos! The grass is being left to grow as a pollinator patch, so the bees don't need to travel too far to find sustenance, along with other wildlife.
