Dynamic portraits by female artist Chantal Joffe are this week’s inspiration!
LIVE ONLINE CLASS: Sunday 22nd March 10.30am GMT
Chantal Joffe is a British painter, known for her arresting portraits of women. Working from photographs, she uses broad, fluid brushstrokes to animate her subjects. Ranging in scale from a few inches square to monumental canvases, her iconic depictions, which are often imbued with humour, are a joyful example of loose and playful portrait style.
We will be creating two paintings in the class, using watercolours and pencil to make our versions of Chantal Joffe’s two wonderfully portraits of female sitters.
