I grew up on benefits and at one point in my 30’s I was £34k in debt, so I’m still pretty careful about what I spend money on.

This week I skipped the ÂŁ78 Frieze art fair ticket and went to the ÂŁ6 film programme instead, took my leftovers to London, borrowed my books from the library, picked flowers from the garden, made a birthday tiramisu and found a ÂŁ25 mirror in a house-clearance shop.

I like nice things. I like going out. I like seeing art. I just really don’t like wasting money for the sake of it!

And making art can already be expensive enough without convincing ourselves we need to spend loads just to have a creative life.

Inside Expansion, we work on your work, your confidence, your next steps, and the bits you keep getting stuck on.

There is mentoring with me, coaching, crits, workshops, and a small group of artists around you.

We look at:

📍 What you’re making
📍Where it’s going
📍How to talk about it
📍Who needs to see it
📍What you need to do next
and what’s been getting in the way

It’s not about doing more for the sake of it.

It’s about getting clear, making a plan, and having support while you follow through.
