Hello, I’m Vanessa, and I’d like to share a bit about my background as an artist. I was born in the village of Mousehole, where I grew up surrounded by talented artists like Jack Pender and Nigel Hallard. Art has been a big part of my life from a young age, which led me to study at the University of Southampton, where I earned my BA Hons in Fine Art. During my studies, I had the chance to intervie

w Terry Frost at his Newlyn studio, which was a great experience. After I graduated, I began teaching at Southampton and later moved to North East Yorkshire to teach at a secondary school. In 2012, I returned to Cornwall, the place I consider home. Throughout my journey, I’ve continued to pursue my art by taking part in exhibitions and selling my work across the UK.

Hi all, my exhibition at The Count House at Botallack Mines is now over. I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who came to see it. It was well received by all. I am very grateful to all those who made purchases whether it was a painting, print or card.
I will now be focusing on new work for my next exhibitions in 2027 and 2028.
Thank you everyone I feel very humble and grateful by the experience. X
