One of the things I love most about running markets is seeing how different areas of the UK each have their own unique creativity, traditions, and styles.

From coastal communities to rural villages, bustling towns to historic cities, every area has talented makers creating beautiful products inspired by where they live and the lives they lead.

The reality is that many of us never get the opportunity to visit all these places. Whether it's distance, cost, health, mobility, caring responsibilities, work commitments, or simply not having enough time, travelling around the country to discover these wonderful small businesses isn't always possible.

That's one of the reasons Gingersnaps Online Craft Markets continues to grow.

By bringing together sellers from different counties and regions, we're helping buyers discover products, crafts, skills, and traditions they may never otherwise have encountered.

A shopper in Nottingham might fall in love with a maker from Cornwall.

A seller in Yorkshire might find loyal customers in Kent.

Someone in Scotland may discover a small business they would never have come across in everyday life.

We're not trying to replace physical markets. We love them too. 💛

Instead, we're creating opportunities to connect people, support small businesses, and share the incredible creativity that exists throughout the UK, regardless of geography or circumstance.

Every county has something special to offer.

Every maker has a story to tell.

One of the reasons I love running online craft markets is that they make supporting small businesses accessible to everyone 💛

Whether you're a buyer who can't easily get to physical events because of mobility, health, childcare, transport, work commitments, or simply a busy life, you can browse and shop from the comfort of your own home.

The same goes for many of our sellers too. Online markets give small businesses the opportunity to showcase their products without the travel, heavy lifting, and costs that can come with traditional markets 🌸
