It’s always a special moment watching local produce being harvested just days before it’s enjoyed — a real celebration of the hard work, skill and dedication that goes into farming across Tendring.

This behind‑the‑scenes glimpse is also part of , shining a light on the people, crops and daily effort that keep our food system moving. Proud to play our part.

A week on from the show, we’re delighted to be supporting The Big Hike for Cancer Research UK by loaning the showground and car park as the start and finish point for the Suffolk/Essex Hike tomorrow – Saturday 18 July 2026.

The first wave of walkers and runners will be setting off at 6.45am, with activity beginning from 6.00am. We will ensure noise is kept to a minimum, and we hope that—given the importance of the cause—any early morning disruption will not cause issues for our neighbours or the surrounding area.

Please do give a wave or some encouragement to those taking part if you see them passing through. Your support means a great deal to everyone involved.
