We have now introduced all our artists and you know who is who and how to find them again after the exhibition. If you haven't visted the exhibition at NaviStitch yet you still have one more week. The exhibition is running until 19th July.

Introducing Sam Luxford aka NaviStitch - As well as being the creator behind NaviStitch Sam creates semi abstract watercolour and mixed media pieces. Sam is known for her embroidery on paper and these pieces include hand embroidery elements.

Introducing Kay Lucas Kay Lucas Artist - Kay was born and brought up in Ipswich. After leaving school she went to Goldsmiths’ College, University of London, where she did a teacher training course in art and design, specialising in ceramics.

She left the teaching profession when she moved back to Suffolk in 1999, deciding to spend more time being creative. She has experimented in all sorts of mediums, especially pastel but has lately been using more acrylic. She really enjoys working with this medium, especially painting sunsets and their reflections in the River Stour. She has branched out into abstracts and loves painting large abstract sunsets building up layer upon layer of colour and seeing how they react with each other. Another of her interests is boats, she likes finding old boats to put in her paintings. Recently she was impressed by a photo taken by Will Green Photography, which inspired her to experiment with a limited palette. She has painted a few using orange as her base colour.

Introducing Madeleine Tapp Madily in her own words - I capture open landscapes and waterscapes focusing on light and atmosphere, drawing a connection between the calming natural environment and mindfulness. I use traditional techniques au plein air and develop these on large canvases in the studio, my work has a contemporary sensibility. - Estuary 50x50cm oil on canvas, unframed

Introducing Sophie Taplin By Sophie - Sophie Taplin Artist in her own words - I’m inspired by the natural surroundings. Creating not only the visual, but also the raw emotional response to outdoor landscapes. I love to use colours to enhance the viewer's perception. I mainly work in acrylics.

Introducing Becky Moss - Becky's current practice explores themes of belonging and place through pen and wash, alongside printmaking techniques. Inspired by the phrases “Home is where the heart is” and “Love where you live,” her lighthearted pieces reflect the emotional ties we form with our homes, our communities and our environments.

Introducing Anne Simmonds, in her own words - Hi, my name is Anne Simmonds and I’m a figurative artist who grew up in London but is now based in Manningtree

I work mainly in oils and acrylic, occasionally in watercolour or pastel, from a mixture of sketches, photos and imagination. I aim to paint expressively and to convey a feeling of calm and wellbeing. I am inspired by people, animals and the natural world, but also enjoy the peace and quiet of a still life. I frequently use my family, friends and dogs as models and often introduce a narrative element to my paintings, which I hope might raise a smile.

My work has appeared at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition, the Royal Watercolour Society , the Society of Women Artists and the Royal Society of British Artists at the Bankside and Mall Galleries in London.

I also undertake private commissions.

Introducing Amanda Clement-Robinson in her own words - After studying at Colchester Art School, I then went on to do my Degree at Wi******er School of Art. I have a deep interest in where things come from and how the past can influence now. I enjoy working with lots of different media, textures and colours. I like to use old skills and techniques such as lino printing, collage, embossing within my work.

Introducing Jem Gooding -Jem finds inspiration for her work from the local landscape and wildlife, creating original paintings and linocut prints. The iconic landscape of the Stour Valley and birds seen along the River Stour at Mistley and Wrabness often feature.
