Following the major success of our most recent project D'Eon (which recently sold out at Hope Mill Theatre and attracted 5 star reviews and high audience acclaim) we are now on the look out for our next body of work for 2018.

Set up in August 2016 The Straight Acting Theatre Company is a producing theatre company; a collaboration of Writers, Directors and Actors based in Manchester and the North of England.

We endeavour to enrich the lives of our audiences by producing live theatre that focuses in on the detail of life and the stories we all have to tell (including but not limited to LGBTQ, BAME and Mental Health themes) whilst engaging in creative and meaningful ways with as wide a range of audiences as possible.

We are looking for Playwrights (new and established) who have developed script(s) that have have never been seen before. You might have a play that you want to hear out loud by a cast of Actors, or maybe you have a complete play (short or full length) that is now ready to show to an audience.

Either way, we would love to hear from you and invite you to one of our Script Reading Workshops.
