I created this bespoke piece as a wedding gift from to his wife to open on their wedding day. It tells the story of their life journey together, starting with where they’re both from (Kyiv, Ukraine & Toronto, Canada), the Ivy LA where they had they’re first date, their toy poodle Mishka, the treehouse where they got engaged, their first holiday together in Mexico City where they flew over the pyramids in a hot air balloon, a little Las Vagas sign with their names on which they had at their joint bachelor/ bachelorette party, and ending with their wedding venue.

I finished the piece with a brushed gold frame to match the gold details 🥰 a beautiful story of a couple so deeply in love

I hope you will take a moment to read them fully… and if it creates any intrigue to read the book, I recommend the David McDuff translation. I would love to discuss it AT LENGTH 😆

The only true stability in life comes from the mind - houses burn down, relationships fall apart, money can disappear, death comes for us all.
Everything you confront in the physical world is a mirror. Every emotion, every judgement, is an opportunity to meet yourself more deeply and create that stability.
But it requires ongoing practice of awareness, observation. Work to meet obstacles with calm. A balance of happiness and appreciation to be human and for emotional obstacles to arise at all, to see the beauty in that, and to understand the importance of how we receive everything, and to understand the power we have over our own response.
The more stability you can create within yourself, the more naturally compassion comes; because that is our natural state. When the ice around the heart melts, water naturally flows 🤍
So in this world of mirrors, we must take the time to meet ourselves honestly. When we do, it ripples through all external aspects of our life.

Hi, I’m Izzy 👋 in 2021 I quit the corporate life and now work for myself as a full time artist & writer, and I’ve found true joy in being creative for a living.

I feel passionately about free-thinking and taking the time to look inward so that we can meet ourselves honestly and work to create our lives in line with who we truly are; and I also believe to be human is creative, only when we know ourselves can we find that expression. So.. Know Thyself! In a world where we are bombarded with advertising, trends and AI and quick, empty dopamine hits, this is more important than ever. We can only be alive by being awake… Just saying 😆
And the power of the arts is to wake us up.

I relish trying new things and challenging myself. I work on commissioned work and projects as well as my own self-expression. I’m entirely self-taught and make everything by hand. Hobbies have always been important to me, even 5 minutes a day is enough to build a skill over time. A hobby is a meditation. If you can let go the need to be perfect and just enjoy yourself, life becomes such a joy. And showing yourself what you can do is good for the soul.. Discipline is a beautiful thing!

Last year (August 2025) I packed up my apartment in Manchester, my home of a decade, and decided to spend some time living and working in different places. Life is an open road and that feels natural for me right now. This journey is giving me more joy and inspiration than I can describe, and new and interesting work is coming my way all the time ☺️ it’s not where you are, or some life plan coming to fruition - but state of mind - that brings peace and happiness. But you know that already (or maybe not!)

Friendships are very important to me and I couldn’t feel more blessed with the people in my life. “The family you build for yourself out of strange pieces” 🥰 to be able to be entirely yourself and understood by the people you surround yourself means you can flourish.

Anyway, that’s a LITTLE bit about me - maybe other important information is that I’m the world’s biggest philosophy geek 😎 a love that started age 15 and has hugely shaped who I am.

What are you so afraid of losing? Since nothing in this world belongs to you 🤍

Saying goodbye to Nepal, my home of over three months 🥰 feels like I’ve built a whole life here and I couldn’t be more grateful for this time... the faces I see every day, the connections I’ve made, everything I’ve learned and experienced, which I can’t describe in few words, the inspiration for my work.. my adopted cat.

What an adventure it’s been. And the adventure continues! 🤍 😄
