This week is our FIRST Mini Art Club session!!! Whooop! 🎨🐟💦

We’ll be exploring the gorgeous book The River: An Epic Journey to the Sea and using its beautiful illustrations and watery adventures to inspire us to create our own little watercolour masterpieces.

We’ll be getting messy with watercolours, exploring colour and texture, and practising those all-important cutting skills as we create our beautiful fish to finish off our pictures.

Mini Art Club is all about exploring stories, materials and tools, building confidence and creating our very first little artworks that we can treasure. ❤️

👶 Ages 18 months–6 years, 45mins

🎨 ART CLUB NEXT WEEK = GRAFFITI! 🎨

We’re getting our street art vibes on for the next 2 weeks and it’s going to be SO much fun!

🖌️ Tuesday 4:15pm – After School Art Club
Ages 5–11

🎨 Thursday 12pm – Home Ed Art Club
Ages 6 - 11

We’ll be learning the art of graffiti, creating our own seriously cool posters using spray paint, stencils and simple shapes, plus getting stuck into paint pens and bubble writing to create our own graffiti style designs.

No experience needed just come along, get creative and have a whole lot of fun! 😆🎨

Whoop whoop! Our very first after school Art Club starts TODAY at Transcend Holistic Hub Manchester in Eccles!

Wow oh wow… August, you have been a WILD old ride! 😂❤️

From launching a studio, planning, organising and mentally moving into it… to then losing it! 😕

All while trying to navigate the summer holidays 😆😆 It’s certainly made for one hell of a rollercoaster!

But, in saying all of that… life is a journey, and I’ve learnt A LOT on this ride! And as much as there have been days where I’ve had to hide in a dark room at the end of the day 😂, I’ve also absolutely loved spending time with my littles and soaking up these summer days together. ❤️

And now… I LOVE autumn, so bring it on!

I’m so excited for all the upcoming workshops (and thank you SO much to everyone who has hired me ❤️), golden leaves, new regular classes, getting creative and meeting lots more wonderful people along the way.

Thank you, as always, for all your support, lovely peeps. It really does mean the world. ❤️

Oh… and let’s not forget the conker collecting! 🌰😂 I genuinely cannot walk past one without picking it up. It’s a problem. 😂❤️🎃

Such a lovely session today at Incredible Education CIC

Today we explored Gelli printing, using leaves and natural materials from our surroundings right here onsite. 🍃🎨

I absolutely love running these adult only creative sessions a chance to slow down, experiment, get messy and simply enjoy being creative.

A LITTLE CHANGE OF PLAN… BUT SOME VERY EXCITING NEWS!

Well… sometimes things don’t quite go to plan! 😅

Sadly, the studio I had planned to open isn’t going ahead, which has been a bit of a curveball after all the planning, dreaming and preparation that has gone into it.

BUT — if there’s one thing I’m good at, it’s pivoting! 😂

And actually, this has opened the door to something I’ve been chatting about with Paulo at Transcend Studios for agessssss… so I’m really excited to finally say that Paintings by Nel will be delivering some gorgeous new sessions at Transcend Studios!

I’ll now be bringing some of my regular classes, workshops and creative events to Transcend Studios, and I honestly think this is going to be such an exciting new chapter.

So here is the new September timetable:

A massive thank you to everyone who has supported me while I’ve been working towards opening my own space. It hasn’t quite worked out the way I imagined, but I genuinely believe this new partnership could be something really special.
