Low Four is a home for new music; a live-streaming music TV platform, recording studio, music venue

Low Four is an online music TV platform, recording studio, venue and Cloudwater bar on Deansgate Mews at the Great Northern Warehouse. Relaunching in September 2021, we produce high quality, live-streamed and pre-recorded content to spotlight Manchester, supporting its international reputation for music and culture, showcasing exceptional emerging local talent alongside already established acts pa

ssing through the city. We also make records and host live music shows organised by external promoters. Our Cloudwater bar will be pouring at all our events and open for casual drinking every Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening when there are no shows programmed.

Singer-songwriter Hayden Thorpe visits Low Four Studio for an in-depth conversation and live performance centred around his acclaimed album Ness.

Inspired by the extraordinary landscape of Orford Ness on the Suffolk coast, Ness is a collaboration between Hayden Thorpe and writer Robert Macfarlane. Once a secret military testing site and now a National Trust nature reserve, Orford Ness provides the backdrop for a work that explores themes of landscape, conflict, ecology, memory and renewal.

Hayden discusses the origins of the project, his collaboration with Macfarlane, the transformative power of place, and how Ness became both a cautionary tale and a story of hope. Interwoven with the conversation are powerful live performances from the album, offering a rare insight into one of his most ambitious and deeply personal works.

Our 10th Birthday celebrations kick off tonight with a live recording of RTB MCR, followed by a week of incredible artists and special events.

To mark the occasion, we’ve teamed up with Cloudwater Brew Co to create Still Transmitting, a special collaboration beer that will be available throughout the week.

The signal remains. Since 2016, Low Four Studio has created and shared live music experiences, connecting artists and audiences through performance, discovery and collaboration. Marking ten years of Low Four and five years of partnership with Cloudwater, this special release celebrates the music, community and people who have helped keep the signal alive.

A Pale Ale for the listeners and the watchers. Sabro Cryo, Comet and Simcoe hops bring notes of coconut, grapefruit and stone fruit, finishing with a flourish of wild dankness.
