WASTELAND is the highly anticipated new dance theatre show from acclaimed British choreographer Gary Clarke and the sequel to his multi-award-winning production COAL.
As we see one generation grind exhaustedly to a halt, we follow the next into the 90s illegal rave scene, where derelict warehouses and abandoned work spaces became home for a new-found community of music and dance.🎹

Whew, what a year 2022 has been! We're over the moon to have kicked off the celebrations for our 50th birthday and to have come to the end of the first full year in our revamped castle on Oxford Road. In this remarkable year, we've also:
⭐Staged 277 shows, events and workshops across the venue
⭐Worked with 535 amazing participants through our projects
⭐Drank approximately 5982 cups of Yorkshire Tea
⭐Screened 39 football matches (all in the name of art)
⭐Secured our NPO status for the next 3 years
⭐ Filled 22,419 seats at our remarkable live performances
⭐Locked 1 poet in the building for 50 hours to write a 50 word poem
⭐Battled approximately 238 plastic balls in our life-size staff game of Hungry Hippos
⭐Launched The Pinch ticket scheme to improve accessibility to the arts
⭐Appointed a whole raft of talented staff, including our history-making new AD/CEO Keisha Thompson
And none of it would have been possible without YOU, our wonderful Contact family. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts. ❤
