Stephen Sondheim, one of the greatest Musical Theatre composers of all time, has passed away at the age of 91.

We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Julia Taylor. Julia was a huge supporter of MYT, and ran many stories and articles about our Theatre Company, as well as reviews and previews, and her very final review, before retiring that part of her journalism career, was our 2019 production of “CHICAGO”. Julia always said that she felt it a great honour to end her time as a reviewer with that production, but really, the honour was ours.

We also were commissioned to perform at the Friendship Force Global Gathering at the Midland Hotel in Manchester in 2017 and the recommendation had come from Julia, and her husband Tony, both shared in the wonderful day we spent performing our comedy play.

Julia, thank you for all your support, you will be missed. Rest well x

**Update from MYT Productions**

After many discussions and ever changing plans of action, we’ve made the difficult decision to sadly postpone our production of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s CAROUSEL once again.

This decision has not been taken lightly, and although we’re hopeful that this latest government roadmap will stick, it is still hard to imagine that we would be able to deliver the production to the high standard that we are wanting to this summer.

However, we are absolutely thrilled that CAROUSEL will be being produced by MYT in 2022, and the production will run 3rd - 6th August 2022 at Waterside, Sale. We’ve confirmed everything with the Rodgers and Hammerstein/ Concord Theatricals team and the Waterside, and we’re all excited to be bringing this show to life in a (hopefully) “more normal” world next year.

We will also be returning with the same production team as originally planned, and we’ve already got some great plans in place to make this the greatest production we’ve done, and well worth the wait! Tickets are now on sale for our new dates in 2022.

We hope you understand our decision.

Until we meet again, please keep well, and we’re nearly there!

See you at the Clambake in 2022!

In 2015 we produced GHOST THE MUSICAL at the Waterside in Sale. We became part of the history of this wonderful show and Manchester BELIEVED all over again.

Happy 10th Birthday to GHOST! 🎉
