In true Maomao fashion, I have been foraging a lot this month so far, and we are only a week into March! I typically post these updates on my story in case anyone wants to follow along (make sure to leave plenty for nature)!

2025:January - Getting back into sewing and learning new dress techniques. Getting the ball rolling for my first costume...

2025:

January - Getting back into sewing and learning new dress techniques. Getting the ball rolling for my first costume of the year πŸƒ

February - Fanged Valentine's photoshoot with my beloved πŸ₯° Outside of my comfort zone at the time but I will be doing more!

March - Time to socialise more and make connections around a busy schedule! Even getting to sit in this aquarium space between connecting with other cosplayers that day~ 🐟

April - A lot of hand sewing silk leaves for an upcoming costume at the time! This picture was a rare moment of wig styling between sewing, to eliminate con crunch πŸ’ͺ🏼

May - Kim Possible photoshoot with Shego, trying out tactical poses in the studio, which I will be adapting for future cosplay πŸ“Έ

June - Debut of Ivy in a new setting. I started to liaise with photographers at the events and I also made lasting friends in the cosplay community, all of whom I am grateful for πŸ’œ

July - Maomao 🌸 at Megacon! I created this costume in just over a week thanks to skills I had learned earlier in the year, and enjoyed being able to collaborate with other creators at the event! Everyone was incredible energy to be around and I am very glad that I was able to work alongside and talk to so many wonderful people~

August - Making a Jinshi costume in a similar time frame to Maomao, I had a lot of ideas flowing for a potential photoshoot. Discussing this in the studio led to the ideas becoming reality between the hard work of Robert Mann our photographer, Alex as Jinshi, and myself as Maomao ✨️

September - Dabbling in foam armour, spray painting, heat guns and the like! I continually felt out of my depth with this costume but I am pushing past that to try and get finished pieces. More due for 2026 πŸ‘€

October - I spent a very short time making a mask for Zero the dog 🐾, which utilised my previous 3D design experiences to bring my idea to life ~

November - A quieter month where I spent time designing for the upcoming year πŸ–Œ just to keep myself motivated in colder months.

December - Putting plans into action, starting with these clip on ears that are paramount for the next adventure! πŸ₯³πŸ₯³ Roll on 2026!!
