Time for a break!
I am over the moon to take a break now on a bit of a high! There is no need to go on again about how this year has been, but just over the moon to finishing with some silverware and having my family there was the icing on the cake! I was emotional, everytime Imade eye contact with my wife and especially my daughter. Meeting Beni again was a lovely added bonus!

I can't thank Craig enough for his advice and coaching throughout this year and look forward to making a return very soon. It is time now to really focus on weaknesses and recovery πŸ’ͺ

Special thanks to Gena for coming along on her birthday!
Thank you, BPU, for a wonderful day ❀️ looking forward to coming back ready to compete.
I am proud that I was stubborn enough to see this through
My proudest moment was an athlete telling me Rosie went over to them to say that they were doing great. One guy said your really winning at life to have a daughter like that! I finished the day feeling just that!

8 days out from the BPU British Championships.
It’s been a quick turnaround for this comp, but has been great, helping me correct technique and work around injuries as much as possible.

This year has been tough. Pain and infection have been constant friends , but I refused to let them stop me from doing what I set out to do.

Life will always throw obstacles in the wayβ€”but I wanted to find out what I’m capable of, even with setbacks. I am very grateful that this time my family will be there to watch.
Grateful. Focused and focused πŸ”₯

Representing Team GB πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§ in powerlifting this year has been a mix of challenge, growth, and pride.
After battling a serious injury and infection, I struggled to find rhythm, routine, and the right mindset heading into comp prep. It wasn’t easy β€” mentally or physically.

But through it all, I learned a lot about myself. About how to support myself better to jave a better mindset.

This time around, I wasn’t at my best β€” but I still showed up. I still qualified. I still stood alongside some elite lifters. And for that, I’m proud.

Wroclaw was incredible β€” a beautiful city full of hidden sculptures (we were all obsessed πŸ˜‚), and the experience brought new friendships and strengthened old ones.

Grateful for my coach, my teammates, and this chapter β€” tough as it was. Mentally stronger and more prepared for what’s next.

I managed to get the gold! πŸ… and qualified for the British championship and Europe's in Poland!
I started this prep in a knee brace and had to rehab my squat, but with patience, I was able to get it back up to 255KG.
I was in awe of the fact that I would be lifting in front of a powerlifting great 🐐 Andy Bolton ( one of the greatest of all time and the first to lift 1000 pounds).
The real highlight for me was lifting infront of my little family and hearing and seeing my daughter Rosie shouting "go on daddy! really spirred me on ans made me very emotional.
Back to work now though and prep for July 2025. I am very grateful that I live and work in a very supportive environment which enables me to push myself far more than I could of before.
Thanks everyone for their support and kind words.

Rosie had a blast at her first Strength & conditioning class! Craig did a brilliant job with the kids and really made Rosie feel welcome. She has her eyes set on an Olympic gold medal, Strongwomen title and to be a powerlifting champion πŸ† so we better get to work.
Most importantly she is really enjoying strength training and she is lucky to have such brilliant role models in the strength sports.
Can't wait to take her to the next one!

September's Athlete of the month
is Mitchell Hooper
"The Moose"

Mitchell has had the most epic 1st year in professional strongman.
The amazing Moose from Ontario has performed at an extremely high level at various sports. 10 years playing ice hockey and then moving to golf for a while. Mitchell then also competed in bodybuilding and became a very competent marathon runner. It wasn't until studying for his masters degree that he turned his attention to powerlifting and then strongman.
Hooper quickly dominated the local and national scene and rose to the most elite level of the sport.
Hooper was the mysterious dark horse in this years WSM managing to qualify for the finals in his first year and finishing 8th! He also came 2nd at two giants live shows and then third at the prestigious Shaw classic. The Moose is quickly getting the recognition he deserves and he has stated he will take the deadlift well past 500kg! A statement like that would normally be met with doubt and criticism but because of his reputation, achievments and character there are not many doubters left.
Go team Moose!
