Five years ago our first in-person music project since the pandemic gave us a seven-track EP inspired by the theme of Transformation - from grungy riffs and pop to jazz and pure punk vibes 👩‍🎤

Led by Manchester post-punk trio PINS, 15 musicians aged 16-21 learnt about the band’s artistic process - from initial ideas to onstage transformation - wrote and recorded an EP of new songs, and performed live at The Met. They're all available to stream for free on our Soundcloud ☁

Today marks 10 years since our first residency with acclaimed composer Anna Meredith which saw musicians and visual artists respond creatively to graphene 🧑‍⚕️

In the summer of 2016 we worked Anna as part of our first gender-equality initiative Here Come The Grrrls. 12 young and emerging musicians and visual artists joined us for four days at the Science and Industry Museum, creating six new tracks and accompanying visuals inspired by the museum’s Wonder Materials: Graphene and Beyond exhibition
