We'd like to say 'break a leg' to all the cast and crew of Centre Stage's The Little Mermaid Jr, as they get ready for their opening night tonight! There's still tickets available for the rest of the run via the link below. It's been great to see the stage come alive again at Lees Street (out last show was 2020!). Centre Stage will be performing this play at Lees Street and would love for you to be involved! An informal get-together is this Wednesday but send them a message if you are interested!

We have exciting news! We will be staging the comedy thriller Norman Robbins’ ‘A Tomb with a View’ at Lees Street Congregational Church and theatre 18th, 19th and 20th September 2025.
Directed by Linda Boyd, this is a fantastic play with big character roles so we are looking for a strong cast to bring them to life!

Auditions will be Wednesday 11th June 7:30pm at The Place to Play in Reddish, SK56RN with rehearsals being held every Wednesday thereafter at Lees Street M11 1NW. We will add some Friday rehearsals in August and the first two weeks of September.

All aged 16+ are welcome to come to our audition evening at The Place to Play. It will be in the form of a very informal script read with a brew and a biscuit

We are very sad to hear the news of the death of Steve Nield. He was a member of the Musical Society for many years before taking a step back in 2017.

And black nail varnish if you can

It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of Cole Berry.

Cole was a member of Lees Street for a number of years and performed in a range of pantomimes, musicals and concerts.
The Society and members send our condolences and love to Nicola, Tia and Cole's family and friends.

We will share funeral arrangements once we have the information.

The family of Irene Starr, would like to thank all of those people that helped to make Irene's send off so special yesterday 15th February. With special thanks to Mr Neil Craine for leading this service and Rev Graham Adams for all his prayers and Reflections on Irene's life which he put together so fittingly. Also thanks go to all the many people who attended her service, for all the kind words of condolences and love shown towards Irene and her family. She has left a large Irene sized hole in a lot of people's hearts, but heaven has gained a very special angel in Irene.
Rest in peace Irene.x

Just a reminder that Irene Starr's funeral is on Tuesday 15th Febuary 2022 at 1pm.

The service will be held at Lees St Church, Openshaw, M11 1NW at 1pm moving on to Hollinwood Crematorium for 2.30pm OL8 3LU, followed by an invite to the Sun inn, Audenshaw, M34 5EE.

Any kind donations can be made to Lees St Congregational Church.
Dress code is to be your "cheerful sunday best".
