The family of Irene Starr, would like to thank all of those people that helped to make Irene's send off so special yesterday 15th February. With special thanks to Mr Neil Craine for leading this service and Rev Graham Adams for all his prayers and Reflections on Irene's life which he put together so fittingly. Also thanks go to all the many people who attended her service, for all the kind words of condolences and love shown towards Irene and her family. She has left a large Irene sized hole in a lot of people's hearts, but heaven has gained a very special angel in Irene.
Rest in peace Irene.x

Hello to all members and friends of Lees Street AMDS.

As most people will know we have been rehearsing to get the society back up and running again with a Christmas social event, however due to illness this is not going to be possible.
So it is with regret we have had to cancel this for Christmas but looking forward to the new year when we will be rehearsing again for a Spring/Summer show,
we would like to get everyone together and have a big tidy up of backstage and stage area so if anyone would like to help out with this please leave a message and a day and date will be arranged. 🎭

Thank you 😘

Can you help Thick Skin Theatre with an upcoming play? Share your stories with them!

Following on from our #WalkThisPlay announcement yesterday we're looking for stories from the communities of Ancoats, Beswick, Clayton and Openshaw.

These stories will be integrated into a new immersive play that celebrates the area and its communities. Created with you.

No anecdote is too small…did you frequent Sankeys Soap? Were you a part of the commonwealth games? Do you remember Ancoats as it was before its redevelopment or did your family work there?

There are lots of ways to share you stories, one of which is a simple form on our website. Head to www.thickskintheatre.co.uk/wtp to share your story now.

Step Up MCR One Manchester.

Don’t forget, we’re holding auditions tonight from 7.30pm for our next variety show, Showstoppers! Please let us know if you can’t make it but still want to be considered for a song in the show. See you later
Well done everyone! Enjoyed it tonight. X
Saturday!!
Thank you so much to all the parents, cast and crew for your kind gifts, cards and well wishes! I love my Lees St family with my whole heart and going to miss you all so much!!! πŸ’œπŸŽπŸ‘―
This time next week I will be getting ready to take part in my last show at Lees St for a long while as I am moving to Paris. I would like to thank Lees St for the memories and friendships I have made over the past 9years! I have been given opportunities I would never of been given anywhere else and sometimes people forget that but I never will. Lees St has helped me grow as a person and take on roles I never expected such as directing and choreographing. Thank you to all the cast and crew!!! Love you all πŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œ
My family and I went to red riding hood and it was the most amazing pantomime we have ever seen, far better than the ones at the opera house. Can’t wait to see Snow White.
Fantastic night tonight guys, For me that was the best variety show I've seen. Well done πŸ‘πŸΌ
