Our musicians play an inspired combination of instruments that create a distinctive sound adding a warm atmosphere to any special occasion.

The Stamford Orchestra has been entertaining packed audiences in Altrincham Market House for three years now. It has recently started using St Peter's Church in Hale as a second venue and will be performing two concerts there on the 25th February. The first will be a family friendly performance of Prokofiev's 'Peter and the Wolf' whilst later in the evening the orchestra will perform the Prokofiev again and Mozart’s Don Giovanni Overture and Symphony No.35 ‘Haffner’. Tickets for our Family Concert at 3.30pm on Saturday 25th February at St. Peter's Church, Hale are now on sale here:

A concert suitable for all the family which includes a performance of Prokofiev's Peter and The Wolf narrated by Simon Royce. The performance will be conducted by Thomas Davey who will introduce the instruments of the orchestra to the audience. Younger members of the orchestra will be encouraged to sit around the orchestra and if they are really lucky they might even get to conduct the orchestra. The performance will last approximately 45 minutes.

PE Teachers are a bit like superheroes, aren't they? They've just got inhuman amounts of energy. I kinda knew what to expect walking in to Emma and Tom's wedding as I'd covered Emma's sister's wedding late last year, but it still slaps you in the face when you walk in to bridal prep and it's like a hen party, ha. To be fair, the fellas were no different. They were in high spirits right from the get-go, and it didn't let up all day and night. At one point I was gathering the stag party and hen party together for a group pic, and it quickly turned into a 'who can sing and chant the loudest' contest, ha. It was ace! Like something from the strip in Benidorm. It definitely lived up to expectations, this one. Full of beans from morning till night, and every single one of the 130-odd guests looked like they loved every minute of it. Congratulations guys, and I hope you like the pictures! There's something about PE Teachers that gives them like twice the energy of any normal person. It's like they're superheroes, and have to put up with us mere mortals who get tired sometimes, ha. I knew Emma and Toms wedding was gonna be a lively one as I covered her sisters at the end of last year. Both of them are PE Teachers, and both of them are like 1.5 people crammed into the body of one person, ha. So when I walked in to their morning, it was like walking in to a hen party! It definitely takes a few minutes to adjust to the tempo, ha. Brilliant fun though, and the atmosphere was really infectious. When I went to see the lads they were just as full of beans, and it just carried on right the way through the day and night. Absolute belter of a wedding, but to be honest, I wasn't expecting anything else! Congratulations guys, and I hope you like the pictures!
