A very happy Christmas and wonderful new year to you all! So sorry we haven't been back to Openshaw for a while. Life has been a bit bonkers. We're looking forward to returning in the Spring to launch the book we've made to commemorate the amazing time we spent with you all on Openshaw. Love from Jan and Chris ๐Ÿ’–

Happy Tuesday everyone! Just a little reminder that you have until 10 August to submit your photos for the M11 photo exhibition that will be shown in The Den - entry details in previous posts. Click on the link below to find out about the fantastic East Manchester Community Festival where your photos will be exhibited. There's loads of great stuff happening, much of it completely free!

This summer, for two weeks only, be transported to another world! Welcome to M11 and the East Manchester Community Festival.

Enter your photos into a competition about life in M11

This Summer weโ€™ll be bringing our pop-up theatre โ€™the Denโ€™ to Beswick, Openshaw and Clayton, bringing two weeks of music, theatre, comedy, workshops and more, programmed by local residents for local residents. As part of the festival, we want to feature a exhibition of photos taken by people who live, play and work in M11.
Weโ€™re looking for photographs showing life in M11 and what that means to you.

You can email submission/s to [email protected]. If youโ€™d prefer do it in person, please drop it off at the Royal Exchange Theatre Box Office, FAO Neil Eskins, please ensure you submit with the answers of the questions below.

No previous experience in photography is necessary, this exhibition is open to submissions from people of all ages. We are accepting images taken on all cameras, whether they are DLSR, film or from a phone. Itโ€™s not about the quality of the camera, itโ€™s about the image you capture.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:
Only submit 5 photographs maximum.
Add a title and 20-word description for each photo.
Photos cannot display drug use, nudity, or any type of illegal activity.
You must either live, work or have a connection with M11 to submit.
We will accept any size of photograph.
Competition closing date is July 28th 2023. (extended)
