The incredible Finale to Mozart's 'Jupiter' Symphony. An impressive structure that culminates at the end with a masterful fugue of 30 bars in quintuple counterpoint: probably a homage to the legacy of the Bach musical family. You can find the number 30 also by counting the semitone steps upwards to reach the highest note of this Fugue, F in the flute, and downwards to reach the lowest note, G in the double-bass starting from middle C on which the Fugue begins. How many themes are in this movement, and what is the meaning of this ultra-dynamic piece of music? These questions have puzzled scholars and performers until this very day. What is your answer? Enjoy!
