What’s better than your favourite pud? Eating it from a bowl you made yourself! Join us for our Pair of Bowls workshop and create a matching set to enjoy at home 🍨

Using the slab mould technique, you’ll create a matching pair of bowls, which we’ll then glaze and fire for you. Perfect for breakfast, lunch or your favourite dessert! 🥣

Autumn Classes at Clay 🍂

Autumns just around the corner, and we’ve got some fab One Off Courses coming up over the next few months, including our festive Pumpkin Tea Light Holder class! 🎃

If you’ve been thinking about giving pottery a go, our One Off Courses are the perfect place to start. They’re ideal for beginners and offer a fun, relaxed way to get creative with clay. Classes run between 2–4 hours, with our experienced tutors guiding you every step of the way.

Member Spotlight 🏺 Clementine

For our next spotlight we spoke to Clémentine about her journey with clay...
..I have been at Clay Studio for 6 years now and I have been a member for about a year and a half.

I make mostly functional ceramics, because I love to use what I make in my day-to-day life, and for others to do so too. I make a lot of unique pieces because I enjoy taking each piece as an opportunity to try my hand at something different.

Recently, I have set myself new challenges, such as: throwing taller vessels, making new shapes (lidded jars and bottles), using underglaze paints and even trying my hand at porcelain!

So thankful to Clay Studio for enabling this growth and also allowing me to showcase some of my creations in their shop.

Member Spotlight 🐙 Wing Tang

Delicacy Ceramics has been making at Clay Studio for 10 years! She started on the handbuilding classes and later became a member.

Her style is playful and adventurous, using exciting illustrative techniques to create delicate lines and shapes, such as sculpting, sgraffito and vinyl resist.

We love these incredible octopus vases that have recently made their way through the kiln, so we asked her to share her tips - at greenware she airbrushed layers of blue. After bisque firing she added an octopus shaped vinyl resist and glazed white and transparent.

Paint your own pot drop in sessions 🎨

From Monday 17th August we’re opening our doors for drop in pottery painting 🖌️

How it works.....pick and pay for your pot, paint it using our colourful range of vitreous slips and leave it for glazing with our excellent technicians. It will be ready to collect two weeks after you finish your designs 🌈

Running from 10am - 6pm daily, with last entry at 5pm.
