We went on a little trip to Curious Pastimes last weekend, visiting for just the Saturday!

The kit I'm wearing is things I've made over the past few years for a bunch of different games from Romans to Vikings and fantasy games.

The only new kit is the hood, using my regular sunhood pattern and a rectangle cloak, both using supplies out of my stash.

It all pulled together really well though, and I think it works well for this lovely little travelling paladin!

We'll be back next year and for longer than just one day!

He chose to survive, but at what cost?
.. Injury, trauma and betraying everyone who knows you still live

Rik had a heck of a time at Welcome to: the Outpost, a Tithing Storyline game. Heavily inspired by the Hunger Games, the Storyline events explore what happens to the Tithes (tributes) once the cameras have been turned off.

I've played him across 3 different events, including back to the Arena, and the twists of his story continue to survive. We've one more event for this system, scheduled for next year and I can't wait to see where his story goes.

So it turns out, Rik is not in fact ok and has been in Cuckoo (rebel) captivity since the end of the last Arena, 4 months ago.

He's crashing out here as another barrage hits the camp. He's got some difficult days to navigate

We're back from Empire and back with the loom!

We've previously woven this bird in more Wintermark colours, but we're Freeborn now and who says this can't be a firebird too?

Anyway!

From yesterdays flames, today we have the much more muted vines and leaves. Tablet weaving lends itself beautifully to curving lines like these. The vines design on the left is one of my absolute favorites to weave, along with the Oseberg inspired patterns of the middle and furtherst right.

We're attending Empire this weekend, and will be at the Blanket Bazaar this Thursday night selling our lovely belts and sunhoods.

There's lots of small, independent crafters and artists there come along and see what we have! We're up in the Hall of Worlds between 6 and 9pm!

We're still in love with this flames pattern. We've had fun over the winter season experimenting with metallic and ombre yarns and we're loving how they interact with the flames!

We've got this and lots of other things for you to see at the Blanket Bazaar, this Thursday night at Empire! We'll be there with lots of other small artists and crafters, between 6 and 9pm in the Hall of Worlds

This Arena is mine...

Twill volunteered for the Arena after the one of the other P8s revealed herself to be a rebel and traitor. He was unswervingly loyal to the Metropole, and all around a bit of a bastard...
