Over the years, the DJ industry has often been undervalued compared with other forms of live entertainment. Professional DJs play a vital role in weddings, birthday celebrations and corporate events, yet their services are not always recognised or priced in line with the level of work, responsibility and investment involved.
At many events, DJs can be working for six hours or more, while also being among the first suppliers to arrive and often the last to leave the venue.
Our service involves considerably more than simply playing music. It includes event preparation, music planning, professional sound and lighting equipment, transportation, setup and dismantling, technical knowledge, insurance, maintenance and significant ongoing equipment costs.
We also recognise that saxophone players, live bands and singers can often command substantially higher fees for their performances. While these are different forms of entertainment, professional DJ services require comparable levels of preparation, expertise, equipment and commitment.
For these reasons, and after carefully reviewing the increasing costs of delivering our services, we are making a necessary adjustment to our pricing. This will allow us to continue providing the professional, reliable and high-quality entertainment experience that our clients expect.
