Yesterday, we lost a gem, a true queen of theatre. She was loved in every role she did. My first film I saw her in was 'The Secret Garden' as the stern Mrs Medlock.

She was an inspiration to many performers and theatre makers out there, especially this one.

We will be honouring her tonight, watching her her work and raising a toast 🥂❤️🧙‍♀️

Every month or so we hold a play read/networking event somewhere in Manchester and this month we are back at 53two today to read The Importance of Being Earnest.

It's a relaxed setting, totally accessible and is a brilliant venue to have a cuppa and get to know local creatives!

We will be down there 1pm today to have fun, socialise and talk about the play we are reading today!

Had an amazing time today at 53Two in Manchester!

A bunch of like-minded actors and creatives came together to read 'Antigone' by Sophocles at our networking event! 🏺

The energy in the room was incredible as we explored this timeless classic. 🏛

Afterwards, we had a lovely chat and some fantastic networking. 🍻🥂

We are looking forward to more sessions like this in the future! ❤️

Today, we will be reading through Antigone together by Sophocles and delving into this incredible work, which still resonates today!

A story of defying authority to do the right thing, and women owning their power in a world dictated by men.

Antigone is arguably one of the most popular tragedies in greek theatre, about the strength of women in a world of male authority. 👸

Disobedience, strength, and honesty are what most draw us to this play. That is why we will be holiding play reads in the next couple of weeks both via Zoom and in person!

It will be a brilliant way for creatives to get together, perform, and network with others in the industry.😊
