“Air Jordan 1 Chicago”
The one and only. Released in 1985, this pair is the root of sneaker history.
Tried something different and painted on acrylic on canvas which I do not do often, drawing a subject I am found of, inspired by an artist I really love and her particular style (check her Insta, it’s amazeballs).
All that at the awesome event (it’s a paint along but I always end up doing something else… sorry 🥲) at chez Franky my main man who’s got loads of evening art classes and event you should check out. I am so lucky to have all this lovely art community I can share my passion at my door step!

“Kabuto”
Kabutomushi is the Japanese rhinoceros beetle found mostly in Japan but also in part of China, Taiwan and Korea.
In japan, from a young age we learn about insects, catch them, raise them as pets etc… which is culturally different from western countries where insects are ewwwww generally. I think the whole catching, keeping them as pets, etc… was at the source of Pokémons to be honest.
I had loads of kabutomushi growing up and it has a special place in my heart. Kabuto or the samurai helmet is where this little beetle got its name from and it’s still, no doubt, the most adored insect in Japan.

“Hakutō or white peach”
How are you feeling these days lovely people? “Peachy” is not the first word that comes to mind 😅. This is a Japanese white peach which is characterised by its bigger size, softer and sweeter flesh and more expensive price tag in comparison to the western cousins. Easy bruised I have tried to recreate a bruise patch too at the bottom left… 🤕

“Toy which scared the hell out of me when I was kid”
Some people may recognise this, this is the “classic chatter phone” from . Not sure why nor how, but I was very scared of the one my sister had. It is a secret I have kept for decades and never told my sister .

“Mando (and the kid)”
Have you watched the Mandalorian? Because if you have not, you should.
I tried to make a stylised picture of the Mando following his rifle lines and leaving negative space for baby yoda.

For Mental Health Awareness Week in the U.K., I have decided to put this piece of calligraphy in a silent auction.
It is a piece made on an A4 calligraphy paper with parallel pen.

I have been diagnosed with depression back in 2012 and have been trying to be open about it and also make sure that other people with mental health conditions could confide in me and support them to seek help. It affects almost everybody at some point in their lives.

Don’t judge.

Understand.

And it’s ok not be ok.

“Girasol e Api”
Followers, so sorry for my lack for posts the past few week!
This sunflower & bees is a commission I had for a tattoo design. Drawing a sunflower and bees was just too bland so I wanted to come up with something more creative... I hope you like it!

Whilst I do not mind taking tattoo design commission works, I think it is counter intuitive as the requestor will pay the designer and the tattoo artist and really, the tattoo artist is a fully fledged artist/designer. They know what is possible or not possible with your skin and are best placed to answer your requirements.

Having said that, some people are really keen for me to design their tattoos, which I am very honoured for.
